Teddy's first birthday |
These days, when I think about my dogs, the first thing that comes to mind is how incredibly proud I am of them. Yes, one of our dogs is a food thief who sounds like a hyena when he whines. Yes, the other sometimes forgets she is house-trained. Both of them monopolize bed space and couch cushions, neither of them like nail trims, or being awoken before 9 am. But, none of that comes to mind when I think about my dogs—only pride.
This past year the dogs acclimated, with little resistance, to a crying, whining, pooping, demanding, now a moving and grabbing little human being that totally monopolized time that used to be reserved just for them. And, they not only did it—they found a way to enjoy the new addition.
That- is worth a brag.
I have no secret recipe, give no advice, and certainly can’t say that my approach will work for every family—but I sure am excited about sharing experiences, past, present and the anticipated—on this blog!
